About HEIDI

Higher-educated immigrants often work far below their qualifications. Their diplomas are hard to compare, their skills are hard to show, and the rules for regulated professions differ in every country. HEIDI builds tools that make this easier for them, for employers and for the people who advise them.

What the project does

  • Improves how the skills of adult immigrants are identified, screened and mapped against the labour market.
  • Helps adult immigrants develop and show the transversal skills employers ask for.
  • Connects adult education centres, career services, employers, public agencies and immigrant organisations.
  • Works with public institutions to strengthen their support for integration into work.

What the project has built

  • The HEIDI portal

    Screening & Mapping Tool, Skills Certification Tool, CV builder, job listings and messaging, in seven languages.

  • The HEIDI ecosystem

    A directory and map of organisations in the seven partner countries.
